Jakub Kowalewski and Ryo Takei took the $10,000 grand prize in the MassRobotics Form & Function Challenge at the Robotics Summit & Expo in Boston, besting 16 university teams. Their compliant, human-safe arm delivers more than 1 Nm of torque and switched from scrubbing baked-on residue off dishes to screwing in a lightbulb and torquing a bolt.
